Well, Helloooooo, March

The nature walk near home

Well, hello, March.

Here we are, it’s about this time last year that we all slunk away and curled up in our homes and thought, Oh a couple of weeks at home sounds great! It was an ignorant-bliss that forced cooking three meals a day, a feat I never knew I could do, and getting some projects tackled around the house. As a person who is so far away from most of my friends and family, and experiencing life in what feels like another world, it brought the shared experience together and the stillness was palpable.

One year later, and the world has changed. My small world adjustments have seen a move to a small town outside of Lisbon, and I relocated my jewelry studio and bought another kiln.

Here in Portugal, we are still on lockdown that began (again) two months ago. It’s quite strict, in regards to moving about, but my jewelry studio is a 15-minute walk from home and I am content to roll into the one-year anniversary with a lot more knowledge and gratitude for having this simple life.

This quiet time has been helpful to allow me to stop and reevaluate how I want my business to be and the work that I am making and putting out into the world. My jewelry work is evolving in a way that I find so exciting, and I am so happy you are here to see this process, because I would love to share this experience with you. The best way to stay-in-the-loop is to sign up for my newsletter. There will be studio news, exclusive opportunities to see my work before it is released to the public, and other goodies. Here is the link to sign-up:

I will wrap this up by saying, as wild as this year has been, I hope we can reflect on the good parts and the changes we have made, and that this finds you and your family doing well.

Until next time,

Laura
